Today is the 14th birthday of our twin grandsons, Brendan and Kiefer. Where has the time gone?? It seems just yesterday that we were holding them for the first time.....so much excitement....one for each of us. Now they are teenagers and we can hardly wait to see them in May. It will be almost two years since we have seen them. Too long for this Grandma.
Happy Birthday boys and stay as wonderful at heart as you have always been!!
Love, Grandma and Grandpa Raduenz

Ropa Trip, Lunch and more fun
Oh my gosh the fun we had today!!!! Five girls from our park and one lady from the park across the road went on a trip to Ropa Usada. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is Used Clothing. What a time we had. Mary drove and Gwen, Wanda, Lollie, Elaine and I were along for the ride. We also took Milky whose picture you will see later. He is visiting from another state and was supposed to do as many things as possible so we took him with us for the adventure.
The first ropa we stopped at was the best organized. I have some pics of the ladies pawing through the treasures. Lollie found something black and slinky that she was tempted to buy. Milky made some friends and we took a pic of them too. Then we left for the second place. In the parking lot we met a woman in distress. Her car wouldn't start and she had to borrow a phone to call her husband. She told him to come and help her, but then a nice mexican man showed up and helped her get it started.
We went to the second place and found a few treasures there also. Things were .75 a lb there so didn't get an awful lot. Then we had worked up an appetite after climbing through the stacks so we headed out for La Trancas Taqueria for a plate of Panchos.
On our way home we went by Trade Winds park where they were picketing the managers. I have a pic of that also. Wow senior citizens are crazy people.
Now the morning and afternoon are almost done and Bill is sitting under the orange tree strumming his guitar. There may be time for a nap before we head out to Lonesome Dove for a hamburger.

January 5th 2009
Tonight was fun. We had spaghetti dinner with our friends Helen and Gill and Bud and Teresa. We had a good dinner and then sat around and talked. We laughed and had a nice time. The weather is cold here today. The high was only 62. Tomorrow it will get warmer again. We are going to Ropa Usada tomorrow. A bunch of us women are going together. I will take the camera along and try and get some pictures. They don't really like you to take pics, but I will try and sneak some in.

Grandpa Bill turns 68!!!!
Bill turns 68 today. He is a very young 68. I tried to get him to go golfing, but he preferred to stay home. He has gotten many cards and a few calls. We are going to the neighbors for a little while, but will probably be tucked tightly in our beds before the new year rolls in. Happy New Year to all and may 2009 be a year of blessings for everyone.

Here are a couple of pics of our new home. The quilt on the bed was made by Rob and I. I just got it back from the quilter and it fits our bed quite nicely. I made it for our bed in the 5th wheel which is a king size so it is like a bedspread on our bed in the park model. The other picture is of our livingroom. It is looking from the eating area to the front.
The lights of Hidalgo
The lights were very beautiful in Hidalgo. This was actually our second time going there this season. We had a great night weatherwise. We rode on the trolley and had wonderful time looking at all the lights. We had just gotten back to the car when it started to rain. The rain was very hard, but only lasted a short time. We topped off the night with a treat at DQ. The peppermint flip blizzards are in for the holiday season.
