Grandpa Bill turns 68!!!!

Bill turns 68 today. He is a very young 68. I tried to get him to go golfing, but he preferred to stay home. He has gotten many cards and a few calls. We are going to the neighbors for a little while, but will probably be tucked tightly in our beds before the new year rolls in. Happy New Year to all and may 2009 be a year of blessings for everyone.

Here are a couple of pics of our new home. The quilt on the bed was made by Rob and I. I just got it back from the quilter and it fits our bed quite nicely. I made it for our bed in the 5th wheel which is a king size so it is like a bedspread on our bed in the park model. The other picture is of our livingroom. It is looking from the eating area to the front.

The lights of Hidalgo

The lights were very beautiful in Hidalgo. This was actually our second time going there this season. We had a great night weatherwise. We rode on the trolley and had wonderful time looking at all the lights. We had just gotten back to the car when it started to rain. The rain was very hard, but only lasted a short time. We topped off the night with a treat at DQ. The peppermint flip blizzards are in for the holiday season.

December 27th

Hey everyone, welcome to my blog. We had a wonderful Christmas. The weather was very cooperative and we even sat out on Christmas day night and had a mini jam on our patio. Our friend, Terry, played his guitar and we all enjoyed it. People stopped by and some stayed and before we knew it our patio was full. It was a good way to get rid of some Christmas candy and cookies.

Last night we did our volunteering at Mission Hospital. The night was quiet, but we did have one man die so the family was all there and understandably they were crying and upset.

Today we are off to a book signing at the Christian Book store, Viva Life. A lady in our park has a daughter-in-law who writes Christian books.
